Rainbow Phil’s Covid19 update

EVERYTHING IS CANCELLED!!!

I’m sure you don’t need me to explain why everything is cancelled, suffice to say that everything is cancelled until Leo gets back on the telly to say that everything has stopped being cancelled – until then, stay safe and keep an eye out for Rainbow Phil’s Quarantine Story Time on Facebook Live…

THE SHOW MUST GO ON!!

(but with sensible precautions in place)

I’ve been considering what to do about this whole Corona situation. Rather than getting caught up in hysteria, I will be following HSE/Government guidelines for school closures; their current advice is for schools to remain open therefore I will continue to sing at children BUT with some sensible precautions in place.

Most sadly of all, there’ll be no more high fives until things have calmed down.. Also I’ll not be handing out bells, instruments, finger puppets or any shared items to the children – this does mean, however, that we will have more marching songs, more action songs and you’ll get to know ‘The Bouncy Bus Song’ and my ‘Sleepy Bunnies’ routine! I have also rewritten the ‘Pointy Finger’ song to avoid touching our faces; it now has a cracking Peter Kay/Tony Christie reference in it!

What else would rhyme with ‘elbow’??

I have antibacterial spray for my mat and some hand sanitiser to share with those who don’t have any (that’s not an invitation for you to fill your bottles from mine!)

It should go without saying that if you or your child are exhibiting symptoms you should stay at home and follow HSE advice, similarly if I begin exhibiting symptoms myself, I will update FB and IG and cancel all Rainbow Phil appearances until further notice.

Currently I’m feeling absolutely fine, the only shortness of breath I’m experiencing is from practicing that bloody ‘Rattlin Bog’ song for Rainbow Phil’s Paddy’s Day Special..

Rainbow Phil’s Paddy’s Day Special??

Speaking of Rainbow Phil’s Paddy’s Day Special, this is still set to go ahead on Saturday 14th March in The Red Stables, St Anne’s Park – massive thanks to BOTH people who have bought tickets so far! I totally understand people’s reluctance to book things in advance right now, so I will be welcoming people who drop by on the day as well advance ticket holders. I hope to keep seeing you all, over the next few weeks – what song will you and your kids sing while washing your hands??
